Panorama House is a two-bedroom home for up to four guests, set on five private acres in Yucca Valley, near Joshua Tree.

And then,

And then, there’s being here.

there’s being here.

Morning arrives. The first light catches the hills, then moves quietly through the house. Make coffee. Open the doors.

As the day passes, the light keeps changing. Shadows move across the desert. The house changes with them. Cook something. Read. Wander outside. Sit for a while and watch.

Toward evening, the landscape begins to disappear. The mountains become dark silhouettes. Beyond them, the lights of Yucca Valley begin to flicker, and to the east, Joshua Tree glimmers in the distance. From here, they look almost like stars scattered along the horizon.

Stay outside a little longer.

At night, the desert becomes very dark and very still. Without the lights of the city, the sky feels larger. Sounds travel differently. Sometimes you hear an owl perched nearby. Sometimes coyotes howl far in the distance. Sometimes there is nothing to hear at all.

Let your eyes adjust.

Stay awhile.

Four views of Panorama House: the modern exterior in the Mojave Desert, a sunlit interior with a red Womb Chair and open white oak pivot door, a guest beside the spa, and the illuminated deck at night.

Panorama House illuminated at night in the Mojave Desert, paired with an owl perched on a tall wooden pole against the deep blue twilight sky.

you lose yourself in it.”
